Which defensive line position is the most valuable?

Abstract

Analyzing defensive line play is an intricate football analytics process since we don’t know each player’s assignment. Another challenge is determining which one of the defensive line positions is the most “important.” In other words, which position should front offices pay in a salary cap league like the NFL? Sports Info Solutions asked themselves the same question and decided to start a competition to find out. Here are our answers.
