FedEx

Sep 2022 – Present Tennessee

Achievements:

  • Drove the design and development of production finance data products in FIP, a cloud-based Azure Databricks platform that ingests Oracle Fusion data via BICC, OCI, and Azure Data Factory into layered lakehouse tables used across FedEx finance.
  • Developed the underlying Databricks notebook logic for a multi-million-row curated table built from 20+ Oracle Fusion source tables that combines general ledger and subledger detail to support close, reconciliations, audit research, variance analysis, and ad hoc investigation across global regions.
  • Engineered transformation logic in PySpark, Python, and SQL, including complex joins, enrichment rules, deduplication, hierarchy mapping, and business-rule standardization; also automated ingestion of account, cost center, and legal entity hierarchies from Oracle EDM into production tables.
  • Led an efficiency initiative that increased refresh frequency for the close-reporting data product from once daily to four times daily, improving timeliness for downstream users and earning two Bravo Zulu awards for business impact.
  • Enabled governed self-service reporting by connecting Power BI to Azure Databricks and publishing production dashboards to Power BI Service, supporting approximately 60 users with secure access controls aligned to enterprise InfoSec standards.

Achievements:

  • Engineered production automation workflows in Automation Anywhere to orchestrate data retrieval, processing, and delivery for finance close activities, reducing manual effort and supporting recurring FP&A reporting used by directors and executive leadership.
  • Developed and supported production ETL processes that moved financial data into downstream reporting layers, enabling dashboards and close reports consumed by analysts and business stakeholders.
  • Built a cloud-hosted internal reporting application in Dataiku, using Python backend integrations with Oracle and front-end components in HTML/CSS/JavaScript to deliver contract and financial reporting in production.
  • Integrated AWS S3 with RPA and scripted workflows to replace legacy NAS-based file handling, improving scalability and operational efficiency of data distribution processes.
  • Recognized with three Bravo Zulu awards for contributions to forecast/reporting automation, close-process RPA, and FP&A reporting enablement.

Finance Intern – Data Analysis

FedEx

Jun 2019 – Aug 2019 Tennessee

Achievements:

  • Analyzed approximately $30M in incentive awards tied to vendor programs, evaluating the relationship between equipment incentives and downstream revenue generation to assess program ROI.
  • Built regression-based statistical models with non-linear terms to identify the point at which incremental incentive spending produced diminishing marginal returns on revenue.
  • Delivered data-driven recommendations on incentive efficiency and expense-to-return optimization, helping inform decision-making around vendor investment strategy.
  • Produced a written analytical report and presented findings to stakeholders; work was well received and contributed to receiving a full-time offer.
